Cumbria shootings: Victim Support’s response (update)

Victim Support is in the process of deploying its new homicide service for bereaved families in Cumbria this week in close liaison with the police and other local agencies. Our staff and volunteers are also providing much needed support to other affected members of the community.

Victim Support commits extra resources to deal with Cumbria shootings

The independent national charity, Victim Support, is putting extra staff on its Supportline this weekend to help people affected by the Cumbria shootings. The charity also confirmed that staff from its Homicide Service had been deployed and were working closely with police family liaison officers in Cumbria.

More strength needed to report rape than deal with the death of a parent

ICM poll results for the national charity Victim Support show that more people think you need to be emotionally stronger to tell the police you’ve been raped than deal with the death of one of your parents.
