District Manager - Tameside - Victim Support & Witness Service Greater Manchester
£19,141 pa plus 6.5% non-contributory pension, 37.5 hours per week (pay review pending)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and innovative manager. You must be a strong team leader who is committed and highly motivated. You will have the vision to take our Tameside District Branch forward to ensure that the needs of victims and witnesses in the community are met.
Ideally you will have sound knowledge of the Criminal Justice System. However, it will be your strong management skills that will be the key to the success of this role. You will already have experience of managing a team, planning and delivering training, and good IT skills.
You will have the credibility to establish partnerships with other local, community and criminal justice agencies. You will ensure the growth and maintenance of such links in order to improve service delivery.
You will be responsible for the overall management of our Tameside Branch. You will provide guidance and support on policy and ensure that your team are working towards the aims and objectives of the Organisation's Corporate Plan and in accordance with our Codes of Practice.
You will be able to work constructively with external agencies and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a diverse range of people. You must be able to lead, support and motivate a team of both staff and volunteers ensuring that, through them, a high level of support is available to victims and witnesses.
