The phonebook isn't the only place to track down organisations that can help you as a victim or witness

Victim Support isn't the only organisation giving information, help and support to victims and witnesses of crime in England and Wales. We also work in partnership with other agencies, including other charities and parts of the criminal justice system. Here are links to some of our key partners and other organisations that may be able to help you

Crimestoppers An independent charity working to fight crime.
NSPCC The national charity which is working to end cruelty to children.
Beatbullying The UK's leading bullying prevention charity.
Citizens Advice Bureau Gives free, independent and confidential advice to help you resolve their legal, money and other problems.
Cruse Bereavement Care Promotes the well-being of bereaved people and helps them to understand their grief and cope with their loss.
Refuge Raises awareness around domestic violence and runs a network of safe houses for people escaping domestic abuse.
Rape Crisis Provides specialist services for women and girls who have been raped or sexually abused.
SAMM (Support after Murder and Manslaughter) Supports people bereaved through homicide.
Shelter The housing and homelessness charity.
Survivors UK Gives information and support to men who have been raped or sexually abused.
Voice UK Supports people with learning disabilities and other vulnerable people who have experienced crime or abuse.
NAPAC (National Association for People Abused in Childhood) Gives information and support to people who were abused in childhood.
Women's Aid Works to end domestic violence against women and children.

Criminal justice agencies

Home Office  The lead government department for immigration and passports, drugs policy, counter-terrorism and police.

Crown Prosecution Service

 Is responsible for prosecuting criminal cases investigated by the police in England and Wales.
Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority The government organisation that can pay compensation to people who have been physically or mentally injured because they were the victim of a violent crime.
Ministry of Justice One of the largest government departments, responsible for 650 courts and tribunals and 139 prisons in England and Wales.
National Probation Service A government organisation responsible for reducing reoffending and helping to protect the public.
Restorative Justice Consortium Works with a range of organisations involved in restorative justice to meet the needs of victims and reduce offending.
National Fraud Authority A new government organisation taking a lead on tackling fraud.
Community Legal Advice Gives free and confidential information and legal advice.
